SWISSULIFE HUB

OPEN MIC

SwissUlife Hub’s Open Mic was the inaugural event launched by the company, aimed at introducing SwissUlife Hub as not just a studio space for photoshoots and video shoots, but a vibrant community hub for all things creative.

The goal was to increase the studio's exposure, create a welcoming environment for artists, and establish a new revenue stream through events and workshops. Being the first of its kind in the company, it set the foundation for future events by fostering a creative community and showcasing the Hub's versatility.

I took on the lead role for this project, overseeing the conceptualization, planning, and execution phases from start to finish. This included pitching the concept of introducing events to the Hub, specifically with the open mic as the starting point. My involvement spanned various key areas, including:

CONCEPT & PLANNING

  • Created and presented the pitch for the introduction of events as a whole, with the open mic serving as the pilot event.

  • Strategized the event’s agenda, equipment needs, and registration process.

  • Coordinated space setup, including stage design, lighting, and overall ambiance to align with the event’s creative vibe.

LOGISTICS & MANAGEMENT

  • Handled all registration forms and managed communications with both performers
    and attendees.

  • Directed team allocation for the event, ensuring that the photographers, videographers, and other staff were positioned effectively.

  • Managed finances, including tracking audience payments and handling
    performer registrations.

MARKETING & PROMOTION

  • Designed all marketing materials such as announcement posts and promotional reels to drive interest and awareness.

  • Leveraged connections in the music and poetry community to secure participation from notable artists and expand audience reach.

  • Organized media coverage to ensure every performer received post-event exposure through individual posts.

EXECUTION & SUPPORT

  • Acted as the primary emcee, engaging with the audience and introducing performers throughout the night.

  • Oversaw all technical aspects, including audio engineering for both live sound and
    video recording.

  • Assisted with performer coordination, ensuring a smooth flow of performances and managing any on-the-spot issues.

HOW IT TURNED OUT

The open mic was a resounding success, achieving full capacity with a diverse mix of performers and audience members. The event generated significant buzz and established the Hub as a go-to venue for future creative events.

Post-event feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants expressing interest in returning for similar events. The performers received individual Instagram collaboration posts featuring their highlights, further extending the reach and visibility of both the artists and the studio.
